Sexy Motherpucker is the second book in the Bad Motherpuckers series by Lili Valente. I have read other books by Lili & absolutely loved them! This book is no exception. She has just the right mix of sexy, steamy (at times downright filthy but oh so good), funny, & romance. I loved the story of Brendan and Laura. Their chemistry was great.

This series started with the ornery but oh so sexy veteran player with an eight year old daughter. Life has dealt him quite a big blow despite his successful career. In the first book we learn that he is unexpectedly widowed. Now he’s a single father and the captain of his hockey team. It is a struggle going through everyday life trying to juggle everything. One weekend of letting loose was too good to pass up. This is where Laura Collins comes into play. It was only supposed to be one wild & wonderful weekend together. Then it was over. Brendan walked away. He couldn’t offer Laura a relationship. After all, he didn’t have only himself to consider. That weekend had him running scared. He had a glimpse of what could be but also of what could be taken away if things were to progress. They agreed to remain friends only. It was very awkward but they still remained friends. It doesn’t end there. Brendan needs a favor. He asks Laura to play his fake girlfriend only for one weekend. But can he stop there???

Laura had already fallen for this sexy single father. She knew if she were to agree, things would be more awkward than they already were but she couldn’t say no. Especially since she was already attached to him & Chloe. It's been four months since they had that wonderful weekend together. She has to get her game face on! I mean, how hard can it be right? They’re friends. It seems very difficult when Brendan is sending her mixed signals. Can Laura make it through this weekend unscathed???

Lili Valente is an extremely talented author, and has done a great job weaving this tale of love and second chances. The plot is addicting and will have you turning the pages as fast as you can. I highly recommend reading this book. If you haven’t read the first book in the series, I recommend starting there. It is worth the ride ladies!!!
