AUTHOR BIO

I'm a British author who grew up all over the world. My parents were diplomats, so we were posted to all of the corners of the earth and it was a blast. Some wouldn't seem so awesome if you heard about them, but my parents always made it a fun experience and it molded my brother and I into who we are today.

I live in Wiltshire in the west country of the UK. At random times of the day, I'll hear a moo from the fields around me, or get a whiff of that...uhhh...'country air', and I love it! I might not have grown up in the UK, but I'm a British girl to the bone (regardless of the suspicious whiffs coming in from the fields).

I'm a single mother with a son who is nearing his teenage phase. Maybe he's reached it early? Who knows. But he's awesome and has a personality and sense of humor that I can only attribute to my family. We're slightly bonkers, we have a wicked sense of humor and we find the positives in every situation. I'm so proud to be his mum and to watch him grow and mature.

Writing was something that I'd always done. I had a teacher in the third grade who always set us the task of writing a story and making it into a book every weekend. After I left school, I kept this up and wrote as often as I could or just plotted out books. This evolved into me taking the plunge and publishing my first book in 2016 and I've been typing ever since.

I'm proud to be an Indie Author, and I absolutely love writing out my crazy Providence characters and the more complex ones in my other series'. It doesn't matter if it's romantic comedy or something with more suspense - so long as it has a HEA I'll do it!

I've got so many more planned, so the best is yet to come.

Dominick

I eyed the demon. “How did you find us?” I’d agreed with Gadriel that the holy city would be an unlikely hunting ground for demons, but it appeared we’d been wrong.
“Jerusalem has always been a place where demons can foment dissent. We could live forever feeding off the bitter fighting over holy sites and the bloodshed in the name of your god.”
I didn’t say that he wasn’t my God any longer, since he’d cast us from his presence. Despite it all, I would forever remain his creation.
“You’re saying that Mastema keeps demons here?” Rami asked.
“It’s a prime posting.” The demon licked his lips. “So much penance and righteous evil.”
I scowled at the delight the demon took in the torment of others. Then again, he was a demon.
“Our prince sent word that you were to be found. I happened to be the demon who got lucky and witnessed a celestial battle on one of the old city’s rooftops.”
I sighed, wondering how many others had seen three angels battling, and how many had convinced themselves they’d been seeing visions. Our battle with Azrael would be the source of many spiritual transformations, and many hours of therapy.
Rami shifted next to me. “Speak quickly, demon. We’re losing patience.”
The cruel grin slipped from the demon’s face. “Mastema would like to issue an invitation.”
That startled me. “An invitation?”
The demon nodded, his gaze moving to the women. “He invites you all to join him in Paris.”
“Paris?” Rami was clearly stifling a bark of laughter. “Mastema has invited us to his demon lair?”
The demon glanced away from the women, clearly not bothered by Rami’s reaction. “It is one of the few places on earth where you will be safe.”
I opened my mouth to argue but I couldn’t. He was right. Mastema’s demon lair was someplace even the archangels wouldn’t dare breach, unless they wanted a war with his hordes of demons.
“You’re suggesting that a demon’s lair would be a safe place for us?” Rami asked. “Two fallen angels, a Demi-angel, and a human?”
The demon shrugged. “You could take your chances out here, but the angels will track you down again. And next time, you know they’ll send more.” He glanced up as if he could see through the floors of the building. “I’m surprised they haven’t arrived to mourn their dead brother already.”
My pulse fluttered. As much as I hated it, the demon was right. We didn’t have much time or many options. Uriel would be coming for his sword, which we’d left in Azrael so we couldn’t be tracked by it, and Azrael’s body would be found. I did not want to be here when either of those things happened. Even if we moved from place to place and assembled more Fallen to join us, we would not be able to fight off the angels. Not alone.
“Mastema is offering us sanctuary?” I asked.
The demon cringed. “I think he’d prefer you not use that word, but yes. He is offering you a safe place.”
“Dominick,” Rami growled, closing the distance between us. “You can’t be seriously considering this.”
“Do you have any better options?”
Rami spluttered for a moment. “We can go to Venice. The palazzo has fortifications. Or New York. There are plenty of Fallen there to help us.”
I met his eyes, recognizing the desperation in them. “It won’t be enough.”
My friend’s shoulders sagged. “You know we cannot trust Mastema.”
I knew that was true, but I also knew that the demon had his own bizarre code of honor. If he pledged to do something, he would not go back on it. Especially if there was something in it for him. Something more valuable than holding a few angels and humans hostage. Above all, the prince of demons was a shrewd negotiator and businessman, dealing in evil and human suffering like others trafficked in commodities.
“What is the demon prince’s price?” I asked, swiveling back to face the demon. “I know he does not do this from the goodness of his heart. He has neither goodness nor a heart.”
The demon stroked a hand down his cheek, his dirty nails rasping across the dusky stubble. “He only wants the same thing you want.”
I doubted that, but I was silent, to let the demon continue.
“In exchange for safe harbor for you and your females, Mastema requests you and your Fallen join him.”
“Join him? I hope he does not believe we would ever join his ranks of demons.”
“You could never be demons,” the demon said. “Even though you can embrace wickedness with the best of us.”
“Then how could the Fallen ever join him?” Rami asked.
“We join forces.” The demon gave us both a conspiratorial smile. “The demons and fallen angels come together as one to battle the angels.”
My blood went cold. “But that would—“
“Bring about the final reckoning of the universe,” the demon said, rubbing his hands together. “The end of all days.”
When—if defeated—the Fallen would receive our final judgment.

“Answer me,” he barks.
My shoulders tense and heat burns through every cell of my body. “Why? Will my answer change anything?” I ask, years of anger and frustration taking over.
“No.”
“At least you’re honest,” I mumble as I rest my head on my forearms.
“Which is more than I can say for you.”
I lift my head and glare toward the door. I have no idea if this asshole can see me or not, but I’m past caring. I want to get the hell out of here. I want to go home.
You don’t have a home, remember?
“So, if you’re Trainwreck’s sister, tell me something about him.”
I narrow my eyes into the darkness. He’s mentioned this Trainwreck a few times, mostly during his earlier phone call, and I have no clue who he’s talking about. How am I supposed to tell him something about a person I don’t know?
“I don’t know who Trainwreck is. I’m here for Tyler,” I answer honestly. Not that he’ll believe me.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t respond, but the lights turn on and the door swings open. I blink several times so my eyes can adjust to the sudden change. He stomps toward me with a cell phone in his hand.
He bends down and shoves the screen in my face. “This is Trainwreck.”
I look at the picture, and for the first time since I met this man at the gate, I feel a sense of hope flair.
The picture is of Tyler—Trainwreck—and there are half naked women hanging on him. The photo is dark, but I can make out his face… my face.
“That’s Tyler,” I whisper.
He turns the phone to look at the picture and his eyes dart back and forth between it and me. Finally, he sighs.
“You don’t see it, do you?” I ask.
“See what?”
“The resemblance.” I relax my posture. My muscles ache from tension and I no longer have the strength to remain tied in knots. “I can’t believe…” I shake my head and start over. “There is no way you don’t see that we’re siblings.”
“Why not?” He shrugs. “Plenty of people have similar looks and don’t have blood in common.”
“True,” I concede. Lots of people thought I looked like Ma and Pa, but we weren’t related at all. “But we have more than blood between us. We’re twins, you idiot.”
“Bullshit!” he shouts as he rises to his full height.
“Get him here and you’ll see.”
He runs his fingers through his hair and begins to pace. I watch him go back and forth several times before I stand up as well.
“If this Trainwreck is someone you know, call him,” I demand. “Call him and let me talk to him. He’ll tell you I am who I say I am.”
“I can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because he’s busy.”
“Too busy to come see his twin sister?”
He only nods and I heave a sigh.
“Then take me to him.”
He stops pacing in front of me and pushes me back against the wall. He braces his hands on either side of my head and leans in close.
“You’re pretty ballsy all of a sudden,” he snarls.
I try to avert my eyes, but he grips my chin and holds my head in place.
“If you’re his sister, how come we didn’t know about you?”
The question hurts. It sends an arrow through my heart, piercing yet another hole in the already shredded organ. My eyes burn as tears well up and I try, unsuccessfully, to blink them away.
Images assault my mind. News reports I managed to catch when Ma and Pa permitted me to watch TV flash, one after the other. Phrases like ‘Search called off for missing girl’ and ‘Family has daughter declared dead’ stick in my brain, taunting me, terrorizing me.
“Probably…” The words catch, unable to force their way out.
I swallow past the lump in my throat and lock eyes with him.
“Probably because he thinks I’m dead.”

“This is how we’re going to play it for the next week? Seems a bit immature. But wait, that can’t be right. You’re the grown-up between the two of us, no?” I lean forward, resting my elbows on my knees, my lips twitching.
Tessa stiffens and spins on her tiptoes like a ballerina until she faces me. “I’m going to my room to read quietly while we wait for your babysitter. Because unlike you, I can take care of myself without needing someone to slap my wrist and handle my problems for me.”
I run my fingers over my knuckles, glaring back at her as I steady my voice. She knows how to hold her own, that’s for sure.
And I respect that.
Even though I’m the one she’s lashing out on.
“So, while you chew on what I’m sure will be a witty and intelligent comeback, I’ll be in my room reading the swoony heroes of Nora Roberts’s creation.”
“Ah, might they be the perfect men you referred to this morning? The ones who don’t exist?” I ask, my voice low and laced with so much amusement I can hardly contain myself. I run my knuckle across my bottom lip, suppressing a grin, and her gaze falls there, following my movement.
Her eyes flash back up to meet mine. “I don’t need to explain myself to you.”
“No, but you’re still telling me plenty.” I wink.
Roughly exhaling, she whirls around so hard, she almost spills her drink. The slam of her door makes me jump in my spot, and I finally let my laugh loose.
I’ve been here for less than an hour, and already, my best friend’s little sister is most certainly making my visit interesting.
