“I’ve seen the way you look at her. The way your eyes stare at her body as if it belongs to you.”
“I may have looked, but I never touched her.” He lifts his chin in defiance as I come to a stop in front of him and laugh.
“I considered letting you off easy, ending the pain and suffering you’ve been enduring the last few hours, if you confessed…” My voice trails off as I grab his hand tightly in mine, sliding the cigar cutter up his finger, stopping just above the knuckle. Closing it just enough for him to feel the bite of the blade against his skin. “But you continue to lie,” I say with a smile as I close the blade, his screams of pain echoing throughout the room.

I grab her hand and press a kiss onto the top, which immediately grabs her attention … and makes the air lock in her throat.
“You think you know me, but you don’t,” I say as I look up at her from underneath my eyelashes.
“I know you hate me as much as I hate you,” she responds.
“I never said I hated you …” I reply, leaning over the tub so she can’t look away. “I hate what you’ve done to me. What you make me do.” I grab her face and inch closer and closer. “How greedy you make me.”
Her lips are wet, the steam rising from the bath drawing smoke between us. But nothing can keep me away from her.

Not even my own damn stone-cold heart.
“I want to hate you,” I murmur so close to her lips I can almost taste them. “So badly …”
“Hate is all you’ve ever shown me,” she murmurs back, her eyes completely transfixed on mine.

Brad Swift. In a club here in LA. Not just any club but the same one that we chose to come to tonight. What are the chances?
My heart is pounding, so unlike me, and for a split second as I get a little closer, I have second thoughts. He's mighty fine, and he's in a suit, all clean-cut and swoony. I can feel my lady parts wake up, the throb with need already thumping through me. I could never resist a handsome man in a suit, especially this one.
I take a deep breath to get my nerves under control. I give myself a pep talk. Andy, we don't get nervous, remember? He is just a guy, no one special. You've got this. Checking behind me, I see my friends have all taken up the challenge as well and are heading to their selected guys.
Game on, girlfriends.
I sway my way through the club with an air of relaxed confidence, my eyesight set just past him to the bartender, but I take him in with my peripheral vision. Then I lean back on the bar, sipping my drink as I take in my surroundings. Playing it as cool as I can, even though my heart is pounding out of my chest. I'm close enough that I can smell his aftershave, and it's intoxicating.
"Nice choice." He smiles my way, then turns to the bartender. "Another Jameson on the rocks." The bartender places his drink down in front of him. He has a swig then looks back to me. "You're not like the other girls hanging around here tonight."
That Australian accent... fuck, he sounds so sexy. I take another sip of my drink, trying to stay calm. He's going to come on to me. Acting uninterested works every time. Guys like this have overly inflated egos, and they can't stand the fact that a pretty girl might not be interested in them.

I'm a contemporary romance author my novels feature swoony men, twists and turns and always a happily ever after.

I'm a busy mother of three pre-teens, who lives on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. I have always been a creative soul, with a background in fashion design, interior decoration, and floristry. I currently run a business as a wedding florist and stylist, but have always had a love for reading romance novels, something about how the story can transport you to another world entirely.

So in 2020 I decided to jot down some of my own ideas for romance stories, always with a happily ever after of course, and from that came my debut novel Always Fraser. From that moment I haven't looked back, writing has become a part of me. I have a long list of stories plotted and I look forward to being able to share all my stories with you soon.
